La Conner Firefighters Association Meeting
Please join us for an Association meeting held the first Wednesday of each month. Our next meeting occurs on Wednesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at the La Conner firehall. We will spend approximately one hour reviewing and planning events that take place in La Conner throughout the year.
Clam Chowder Feed (by invite only)
Our annual Clam Chowder Feed is an invitational event celebrating our relationships with our brother and sisterhood of local firefighters. The La Conner Firefighters share a banquet of steaming clam chowder, salad, bread, and dessert between active, and retired firefighters on Thursday, February 23, starting at 6:00.
La Conner Christmas Boat Parade
A special holiday event that will create holiday memories for you and your family, the La conner Christmas Boat Parade procession includes a variety of privately owned boats lit up with seasonal glow along La Conner’s eclectic and picturesque waterfront.
The impressive gathering of rosy-cheeked locals and stocking capped overnighters united along the inviting La Conner boardwalk.
Christmas Tree Lighting at Gilkey Square, La Conner
Step outside into winter’s wonderland downtown La Conner at Gilkey Square. The La Conner Volunteer Firefighters amplify the holiday spectrum and elfin magic as they escort Santa Clause in decorated fire trucks! An event for the entire family, watch the 50-foot fresh fir tree become lit up with thousands of multi-colored Christmas lights while sipping a cup of hot chocolate, provided for everyone on-site.
“La Conner Christmas Past”
A new holiday event sponsored by Opal and organized by local salon owner, Gina Torpey, La Conner Christmas Past revives an early 1900s experience for all to dress in turn-of-the-century costumes and clothing and stroll throughout town. Everyone is welcome. Enjoy two full days of holiday music and carolers, shopping and dining, a Santa breakfast, craft fair, and an original “elf hunt!”

The La Conner Firefighters Association is pleased to partner with Washington Federal Bank in La Conner in a local food drive to benefit our hometown service, the La Conner Sunrise Foodbank.
We are now accepting non-perishable foods at the drop off box at WA FED through the January 6 (poster not updated), Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Jingle Belles: A Ladies Night of Shopping
Gather your friends and support our local businesses! The Town of La Conner is hosting its annual community-inspired “Jingle Belles, A Ladies’ Night of Shopping” on Friday, November 18th, 4 – 8 pm.
Gather friends and family and cozy into the independently owned stores throughout La Conner. Classic decorations line the streets and fill the air with holiday spirit and be inspired to find original presents and gifts for those people who have everything.

Happy Halloween Parade
A half day of school in La Conner school district harrows a spooktacular parade of ghosts, ghouls, and goblins for downtown trick or treats on First Street starting at noon. The La Conner Parent Teacher Student Association sponsors the official fill up on candy and then we all buckle up to ride out the sugar shakes until 1:30 pm.
Pumpkin Carving & Pizza
Nothing screams Halloween better than making a jack-o-lantern! Bring your pumpkin-carving ideas and get creatively messy carving a locally grown pumpkin at the firehall. We fuel your spirit with cheesy pizza for dinner, baked hot by our Firefighters Association, and provide one pumpkin per person.
La Conner High School Homecoming Dance
La Conner High School celebrates an annual tradition of football loyalty and King & Queen royalty on Saturday night, October 15, from 6:00 to 11:00 pm.
Firefighter Safety Day at La Conner Elementary
A visit to La Conner elementary school is a neat treat! Each class will learn what volunteer firefighters do and what equipment they use, who to call for help, and how to keep yourself safe when there is danger of a fire.
End of Summer Salmon BBQ
Thursday, September 29, the La Conner Fire Department wraps up summer with a final salmon barbecue at La Conner’s Pioneer Park from 6 - 9 p.m. Bring the family and bring a coat and let’s welcome the fall season together.
